At Rock Bottom, 40-Year-Old Transforms Body and Life With Isagenix®

Just before discovering Isagenix®, Mercedes was going through a very dark period in her life. The 40-year-old was reeling from a miscarriage, the aftermath of which eventually ended her relationship, taking with it the business she shared with her former partner. She was suddenly alone, unemployed and 45 pounds heavier due to complications from the pregnancy.

The extra weight dramatically changed her petite 5’1” frame and Mercedes desperately tried everything to lose it, even spending $400 on a personal trainer. After 30 days, the Georgia resident had lost just one pound.

“I worked out three times a week, ate healthy and took supplements and even medication to try to fix things, but nothing worked,” says Mercedes. “I looked in the mirror and realized it didn’t matter what I did. My hope was gone and that’s when I felt completely let down.”

At rock bottom, Mercedes ironically discovered Isagenix through her ex. His mother thought it could be the solution Mercedes desperately needed. Leery of spending more money on something that wouldn’t work, Mercedes started with the 9-Day Cleansing and Fat Burning System reasoning that she didn’t have much else to lose by giving the lower-cost system a try.

Not willing to take anything for granted, she exuberantly embraced the Challenge as a measure to see how far she could go. Wanting to be more muscular and have better health, she ambitiously trained with a grueling six-mile run/hike, three times a week up and around one of the toughest mountains in the area. She also took up Zumba, a Latin dance/aerobics class. She even got her certification as an aerobics instructor recently because she loved it so much.

The life that Mercedes has today is reflective of the dream board she created at the beginning of her Isagenix journey. She is feeling secure and hopeful again thanks to the supportive family she’s found at Isagenix.
